Noticed an off-by-one error on the page during a server outage. I'm assuming it's due to the previous chat server status. This dependency has been removed and the current page verified against the official Everquest network status page (though there ARE still come discrepancies for some unknown reason).

Thanks to David Prusak's continued vigilence, I've found yet one last bug where the status wasn't properly checked in my script. This issue should now be fixed.

Many thanks to David Prusak who pointed out that the scripts were once again 'sick.' It would appear as though Sony had decided to change the protocol of their status server and has yet to publish that change. Luckily, with a rather hard look at the packets, it would seem as though they have removed the old provisions for 'number of users' or for the 'number of zones' within the protocol. A little bit of reverse engineering has restored these graphs.

Unfortunately due to server issues, this script has been down for a little while. After a request of two, I've now moved this to a new server and have started it running again. I have also started updating the code a bit more to be a little more flexible and/or possibly distributeable.

Yes, the system still shows graphs with labels as to the 'number of players.' The proprietary protocol that this system uses (as published by Sony) once returned things such as the number of players online on each server as well as the total number of zones available. Slightly before the entrance of other MMOFRPGs on the market (such as DAoC, Verant changed the protocol so as to only return either if the server is up or down (or in some instances, locked) and since does not appear to provide the overall load (players) on a given system.

Should someone have a pointer to an updated way to query this information from them, I would welcome a head's up. Currently we use UDP to status.everquest.com as per the old Server Status Protocol page.
